Burton Tedesco holds a B.A. in performance from the University of South Florida and an M.F.A. in the same from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has worked with several theatres in central Florida and as a resident actor/fight director for the Charleston Stage Company in Charleston, SC. While in Hattiesburg, MS, he was a proud member of the Southern Arena Theatre acting company for three seasons.
Since moving to New Orleans, Burton has played “Kent” in reasons to be pretty and “Mitch” in Tuesdays with Morrie, both with The Actor’s Theatre of New Orleans. In addition, he played “Marellus” and “Cinna the Poet” in The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane’s production of Julius Caesar, during which he also served as fight director.
Some of Burton’s favorite roles includes: “Jake” in A Lie of the Mind, “Lynch” in Finer, Noble Gases, “Capulet” in Romeo and Juliet, “Captain Nimrod” in Nevermore, ”Gayev” in Cherry Orchard, “Fredrick Fellows” in Noises Off, ”Hitch” in Hitchcock Blonde, “Macbeth” in Macbeth, and “Egeon/ Nell” in Comedy of Errors. His film credits include “Marty” in HOTCAKES and ”Biker Dude” in TRAILER PARK JESUS. He recently played an inmate in an episode of the A&E series BREAKOUT KINGS. Burton is a Dueling Arts International certified Level Two Actor Combatant and is proudly represented by del Corral Talent.
