Cassie is a Louisianan, born and raised, an Irish Cajun. Currently in her 4th year of studying film production at the University of New Orleans, she has worked on several undergrad and grad films in a cross section of positions. She has worked as a PA, a boom op, a casting director, a 2nd AC — acted in a few — and even directed a short film of her own, SKINTY MINTIES. It took her a while to find her niche behind the camera, until the fall of 2011, while production designer for UNO Filmmakers’ film A MATTER OF TIME.

Cassie had never worked in the art department before, but grew up with artistic leanings and busying herself by building furniture and other things with her father. Apparently that and the support of an awesome team was all it took to get the job done; she fell in love with the art form. Shortly after being introduced to Jo, she found herself back in the saddle to design the short film HOTCAKES and direct the moveable set for continuity. Cassie plans a career in indie production design and hopes to possibly design a television series someday. In the meantime, she is taking every opportunity to work in that department for the experience.
